Well, the heatwaves had us, mostly me, wondering how many entries we'd end up with this last time around. Sarn, ever a chirpy little soul reckoned we'd be fine - and me (aka Eeyore) took a gloomier view until the sprint towards the final few days!
Here are my top picks from Challenge 434:
I chose this entry, made by Christa, because it's fabulous of course, and also as the amount of work (and perfectionism) is stunning. A super way to use up loads of little snippets - and the fact that the edges are not exactly fitted to the joins of the patchwork really adds to its charm. Very clever idea.
Snippets can be used so many ways, and they often lend themselves to scenes. Our Val's entry is a classic example on her really super Christmas card. It's so stylish to begin with - and then just look at the very clever choices of top and bottom papers, great stuff Val!
And, with no apologies to 'top and bottom' papers, my last but not least, pick from the many possibles is this card above - made by Lynne. Just gorgeous. What I especially love about Lynne's card, and a few of our other entrants delight me doing this as well, is the wonderful use of papers and the image colours to match them. Or is it the other way around - food for thought there. I try my best but do tend to do paper first then pick out the Pro markers or pencils and such that are a good match or foil.
Onto the prize draw, for three stamps from Brenda and also a 'Stitched Scallops Edger' die from the toy box. And the winner is:
To claim your prize, please send me an email using the Snippets Playground email address shown on the RH sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER (or similar) in the subject line. Please add your FULL NAME above your home ADDRESS so that I can copy and paste it for speed and ease.
The current snippets challenge, being hosted by Sarn, still has almost a further week to run - just scroll down to the previous post to find it.
