Results of Challenge #499

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's special challenge - to reveal my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #499.

But first, on behalf of both Di and myself, I would like to say heartfelt thanks for all the lovely comments we have received on reaching the 500th Challenge. There's been plenty of dancing, laughter, drinking and general messing about in and around the Playground. Di and I couldn't do it without your fun and friendship in return - it takes all of us to make the Playground a fun place to come and play. So THANK YOU once again.

Moving on . . . here are my top picks in entry order:

Lynn in NI created this fun birthday card for her husband, along with similar versions for two other masculine birthdays in her family. Great design Lynn - I'm sure Dudley will approve!

Helen created this cute teddy card and used up lots of paper snippet strips behind the focal image. Great way to use up some snippets and the layout is lovely.

Marjeta brought along this gorgeous floral card. Lots of detail to admire, along the lovely gold bow embellishment that finishes the card off nicely.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 8th March 2025 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Di's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

All the best from me, Miss Di and Dudley Dog.

Challenge #500

Welcome to a special challenge in the Snippets Playground. It's the 500th one . . . with a mandatory theme of "Celebration". This should give you plenty of scope, but think along the lines of birthdays; anniversaries; new baby; engagement; wedding . . . in fact any celebration will count, as long as it's obvious.

All the details of the above card are over on Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE - as well as Dudley's latest 'Pupdate'.

As the mystery prizes offered in December were so popular, we have decided to offer two more mystery prizes, each comprising 5 items. Sarn will be sending out one bundle and I will be sending out the other.

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 1st March 2025. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge.

Winners outside the UK: Please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Di and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts". In claiming your prize, you accept that any such fees are your responsibility.

Love and hugs from Di and Dudley Dog. xxx

Results of Challenge #498

Hello Everyone!

It's Di here - popping back in the middle of Sarn's challenge - to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #498.

Here are my top picks in entry order:

Although I didn't set out to pick entries with the optional theme of 'Love is in the Air' - it happened to pan out that way this time!

Our Jules is certainly the Queen of Hearts and her card, below, really stood out. Love the whole design and am in awe of the patience it must have taken Jules to assemble all those pieces of paper, not card, to create such a fabulous background.

Below is the beautiful card that Brenda brought to share with us. What an eyecatcher - absolutely love the colours of the crocus! By the way, Brenda's sentiment is one from a set she designed and can be found for sale via a link in her blog post.

And my final pick, below, was made by Pat - another stunning entry! The background featured dry embossed highlights over a panel of blended inks and it's fabulous! Certainly a technique to try and I love that Pat always writes such clear coverage of the steps she's taken to make a card.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Jules

Congratulations Jules! Total hand on heart, no pun intended, your number popped straight out - surprised the gasp wasn't heard where you live!

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 22nd February 2025 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Sarn's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

All the best from Di, Sarn and Dudley Dog.

Challenge #499

Hello Playmates!

Sarn here, hosting another fun Snippets Playground Challenge for the next fortnight.

My homework is below - using snippets of white card to embellish gift wrapping.

The prize for this challenge consists of an Aall & Create "Party Time Dee" clear stamp set (from me); a very modern red rubber stamp set by CC Designs called "Hashtag Sentiments" (from Di), and a Memory Box die called "Birthday Script" (also from Di).

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry (or add a photo of them), otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. If it is not clear what snippets have been used in an entrant's blog post, the entry will automatically be excluded from being a Top Pick or a prize winner.

The Playground gates will close on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 15th February 2025.

Hey Playmates . . . a little heads-up for you . . . our next challenge starts in 2 weeks' time and it will be the 500TH ONE. Obviously we will be celebrating . . . and on that note . . . there will be a CELEBRATION THEME TO FOLLOW. You heard it here first!

All the best from me, Miss Di and Dudley Dog.
