Challenge #485

Hello Playmates!

It's the start of another fun challenge here in the Snippets Playground and you have until 3rd August to get your homework done. It's Dudley the Playground Pup's birthday tomorrow, so I made him a card! Yes, I know Dudley is too young to read it just yet, but his Mama will read it out to him! You don't have to be crazy to come here, but it helps!!!!

Here's my homework, the details of which can be found on my personal blog HERE:

In honour of Dudley's birthday, the prize is dog themed! The stamp set is from Di and the stencil and dies are from yours truly!

So why not come and play? All you have to do is follow our RULES, then bring your homework to the Snippets Playground and enter using Mr Linky (below). Remember to say what snippets you used (or include a photo of them) and leave a comment advising whether you're just playing for fun or wish to be included in the draw for the prize.

The Playground gates will clang shut on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 3rd August 2024. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge. Winners outside the UK: Please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Di and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

If any of you are having trouble commenting, please see HERE for a possible solution.

Results of Challenge #483

Hello Playmates - Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's challenge, to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge 483.

Here are my top picks (in entry order):

CAROL submitted a gorgeous new baby card using up a treasured crocheted medallion made by a friend of hers. The embossed background, focal point and sentiment with the sweet love hearts and ribbon are all just so darn cute!

BRENDA submitted a very artistic card for her homework. There is lots to admire, including some lovely coneflowers popping out of welly boots, a stencilled background and some clever masking that looks like a piece of Washi tape!

HEATHER'S homework is a cute birthday card full of farmyard animals. Great die cutting and colouring.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is No 22:

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 27th July by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Challenge #484

Welcome to a new challenge in the Snippets Playground. All the card details are over on Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE - as well as Dudley's latest 'Pupdate'.

These are the items, all from me,  making up the prize: Crafty Roo's 'One of a kind corner' stamp set, the sideways sentiment says 'Let your dreams be your wings' - and it is a large size BTW. A Heffy Doodle pair of shadow dies called 'Create''. A Poppy Stamps die called 'Cat Collage' and finally, a fun set of stamps by 'Your Next Stamp' called 'Hoot's Up'. Bit of a selection there folks!

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 20th July. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

Please state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw.

Remember that we do reserve the right to delete non-compliant entries. It's very important to us to keep the Playground as a happy place to come and play - as well as making sure everyone plays fairly.

Winners outside the UK please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Sarn and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Results of Challenge #482

Hello folks - Di here, hopping in with the results from Challenge #482.

Here are my 3 top picks (in entry order):

Carol L created such a lovely variation using the 'Fractured' technique.  What a great idea to add the pretty flowers centre stage and then add the same colour sentiment down in the bottom right hand corner!

Val really excelled at using up a ton of small snippets this week, to produce such a pretty scene. So imaginative and you do almost feel drawn in to give one of those cute kitties a little tickle under the chin!

And last but not least, Suzanne really went to town with a host of pretty colours for her snippety foliage card. So effective how stems are tucked into a slit in the card front panel. Lovely work!

Some wonderful inspiration from all of the 'picks', as well as everyone else. Thank you so much for playing along.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

 Alison C

Results of Challenge #480

Hello folks - hopping in with the results from Challenge #480.

Here are my 3 top picks (in entry order):

What a crisp and fresh die cut kite on a perfect cloudy sky background - made by Steph. Everything about this beautifully designed card is so pleasing on the eye. Lovely work!

I love herringbone design for using up snippets. Taking them one step further by then dry embossing the panel so that is appears to be quilted is such a terrific idea Alison - well done!

And last, but certainly not least, we have Carol G's entry with a gorgeous bunch of tulips taking centre stage. Lovely stencilled background too, a perfect way to show off the vivid flowers beautifully.

As always, it was so hard to choose just three picks. Sarn and I always love all of your work and it's so heartwarming to see you playing along with us. Thanks to all of you Playmates!

Results of Challenge #478

Hello folks - hopping in with the results from Challenge #478.

Here are my 3 top picks (in entry order):

Marjeta entered this lovely card. So beautifully coloured and I love how the background of snippet strips picks up the colours in the image - or the other way round of course!

Sue made a brilliant 40th Birthday card for her son. I think it's a great use of a few snippets for maximum impact - and a design I hope to CASE, particularly for male cards!

And, once again, Lynne R has been super-busy! One of the great things about keeping little different coloured snippets is the choice at your fingertips for tiny die cut images like Lynne's fabulous Christmas Village!

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Donna T

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 18th May by sending your name and address details via email using Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.
