Results of Challenge #462

Here we go with the picks from Challenge 462, in numerical order:

I keep looking at this card, made by Alice, and continue to be amazed at the realism and imagination combined - a really wonderful moonlit beach scene using snippets!

Suzanne really 'rocked the boat' with this fun 'wobbler' card - you must go and see it in action for yourselves! What a fun card for anyone, especially a fisherman, to receive!

And here we have another card with movement, made by Kate.  I love the 'leaping grasshopper' jumping over the adorable acorn house. Great design and movement - such fun!

It was a total fluke that all three cards depicted a scene of one sort or another. Never easy to do well and these are really fabulous cards!

As always, we had some marvellous entries, I can see Halloween beginning to sneak in! Always the sign that our Winter isn't far behind.

The randomly drawn winner of the prize bundle is:

Linby (Lynn B)

To claim your prize, please send an email using the Snippets Playground email address shown on the RH sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER (or similar) in the subject line. Please add your FULL NAME above your home ADDRESS so that I can copy and paste it for speed and ease.

Don't forget folks, Sarn is still running her current Challenge HERE! And my own snippets card for today, as well as a Dudley Pupdate can be found HERE.

Love from Di and Dudley,

Challenge #463

Hello Playmates!

It's the start of another fun challenge here in the Snippets Playground and you have until 30th September 2023 to get your homework in on time!

I've used up lots of white snippets on my homework, the details of which can be found on my blog HERE (along with 2 extra cards):

The prize for this challenge comprises a stamp set and some very pretty dies.

The Honey Doo set of stamps (called "First Choice") was kindly donated by Sandma; the gorgeous floral Paper Boutique cutting dies (called "It's time to celebrate") are from Di and the lovely Die'sire "Delicate Trellis" die was kindly donated by Val. Thanks to you all for your generosity.

Please bring your snippets homework to the Playground and use Mr Linky (below) to submit it for marking! Please remember to SAY WHAT SNIPPETS YOU USED (or include a photo of them) and leave a comment making it clear whether you're playing for fun or want to be included in the draw for the prize.

The Playground gates will clang shut on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 30th September 2023. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge. Winners outside the UK: Please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Di and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Hugs from Sarn xxx

Results of Challenge #461

Hello Playmates - Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's challenge, to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge 461.

It's been HOT HOT HOT this week! Di and I had to drag out the paddling pool and fill it so that you could all cool off and splash about a bit, plus there's been more ice added to the Treehouse cocktails!

Anyway, onto the Top Picks, which are as follows:

PAT bought along this gorgeous birthday card and you can find the details of how she made the wonderful background on her blog.

LIZ is such a good 'paper engineer' - often making beautifully shaped cards, and this one is no exception. I love the style and the summery theme.

VIV has been playing truant, but came back to the Playground with this lovely piece of homework. I love the clean and simple layout and how all the little die cut elements have been put together.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The winner of Challenge #461 prize is:

Congratulations Marjeta. Please claim your prize by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Di's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Challenge #462

Time for a new challenge and I'm already planning ahead for Christmas here. So my snippets card for today used up cream and red mirri card snippets:

All the details of how I made it are over on Pixie's HERE - as well as Dudley's latest escapade, sigh.

The prize for this fortnight is unashamedly Christmas themed and some of it is linked to the card above:

First of all, I just couldn't resist adding the adorable Woodware 'Bubble Robin Stack' stamp set plus the set of bigger 'bubble dies' to go with the robins. The dies are also great with tons of other Woodware 'Bubble' sets of stamps. I love mine and so perfect for using up snippets!

We recently had a very generous donation of goodies for the Toy Box from Pauline C - she sent the My Mind's Eye 'Winter Wonderland' set of stamps PLUS a Gemini 'Nordic Reindeer' 2 piece set of dies. As well as more goodies for a future time! Thank you so much Pauline - it's super-kind of you.

This might be an opportune time to let you know that we're always very happy to receive new and/or unused items that you might have bought but will actually never use! (We've all done it!)

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 16th September. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post. Please state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. Remember that we do reserve the right to delete non-compliant entries. It's very important to us to keep the Playground as a happy place to come and play - as well as making sure everyone plays nicely and fairly.

Winners outside the UK: please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Sarn and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Love and hugs from Di and Dudley,
