Results of Challenge 425

Hello Playmates - Sarn here!

Thanks for dropping by to see the results of Challenge 425.

It's incredibly difficult to whittle your lovely entries down to just three, so I gave up trying and took the liberty of choosing FOUR (praying I don't get detention for doing so!). Here they are in order of entry:

Sandra H made this rather cool and classy masculine card. Masculine cards are something I struggle with and Sandra made it look effortless! How? HOW????

Next, Carol L used a sketch and punched out a load of flowers from snippets, adding them to little snippet squares of paper. I love the layout and all the pretty flowers. Keep up the deep breathing Carol!

Pauline C - bought some lovely spring flowers to the Playground with her wonderful triptych card. Lovely layering with both snippets AND ink! A very cheerful card.

And last, but certainly not least, Inkami patiently folded nine little snippets into envelopes and added them to a square card to make the following little gem:

On to the prize draw - the winner of the two Crafty Individual stamp sets is:

SUZANNE H

Congratulations Suzanne. To claim your prize, please send me an email using the Snippets Playground gmail address shown in the right hand sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER (or similar) in the subject line. Please add your FULL NAME above your home ADDRESS so that it can be copied and pasted for speed and ease.

There's still nearly a week left to go on the current Snippets Challenge - just scroll down to the previous post to find it.

Challenge #426

Hopefully you're all having a pleasant Easter weekend, and that the weather is being kind to all of us! Been pretty warm/ verging on hot here for the past couple or more days. I suspect that Sarn has left the makings of a few cocktails up in the tree house for you all, should you wish to partake.

Straight onto my snippets card:

All the 'how I made it' details are over on my own Pixie's blog, HERE, should you want to know more.

The prize for this fortnight is:

A set of Sizzix thinlets dies called 'Susan's Garden' plus a set of Marianne 'Summer' stamps - both kindly donated by Brenda of Floral Fantasies. Thank you so much again Brenda.

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 30th  April. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

The latest news of Dudley is also over on my own Pixie's blog post for today - HERE. He's such a source of laughter to us. Goodness know we need it with all that's going on in the world.

This was our lovely friend Bernie's really cute Easter sign off whilst she was still with us and blogging. She is still very much missed by so many of us who knew her:

Results of Challenge #424

It's really wonderful to see you all welcoming Sarn as one half of 'Team Snippets Playground'. Good move wasn't it - and for me it's such a delight to be working with her.

Let's crack straight on with the 'picks' first:

I picked this delightful Easter card, made by Christa, as the whole design is really lovely and the colour matching to the designer paper background is sheer perfection!

Here's a brilliant idea, shared by Linby. What a perfect way to use up lots of little snippety images inside a frame die cut. Very clever!

This gorgeous card, made by Carol G,  is so beautiful. Great bokeh background and very dramatic with the lovely silhouette flowers as well!

Marvellous use of absolutely loads of different snippets, brought to share with us by Caroline (KISS). Even the teeny little animals were fussy cut - the detail is amazing! A really lovely card.

As always, we had some great entries - 47 in total as well! If you're a pick, please always feel free to collect your 'Top picks' badge from the 'Badges' page.

Onto the prize draw, the Clearly Besotted 'prize bundle'. And the winner is:

Helen

To claim your prize, please send me an email using the Snippets Playground gmail address shown on the RH sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER (or similar) in the subject line. Please add your FULL NAME above your home ADDRESS so that I can copy and paste it for speed and ease.

The current snippets challenge still has almost a further week to run - just scroll down to the previous post to find it.

Dudley's beautiful coat is already beginning to grow back - as are his peachy coloured silky ears. Len has spent a fair bit of time resting his back since waking up on Friday morning, having possibly slept awkwardly - and Dudley just curls up beside him to keep an eye on him! I might start hiring his services out as a 'Caring Dog/Nurse'! ☺

Love from Dudley (Mister W-B) and Di xxx

Good grief - and a wave of something, plus a yodel from Sarn, up in the tree house!Looks suspiciously like she's been printing off and laminating a cocktail menu!

Challenge #425

Hello Snippets Playmates - Sarn here!

I've polished my Prefect's Badge and put my shoes on the correct feet for a change! Even managed to tie-up my own shoe laces (I'm coming along in leaps and bounds!).

As mentioned in the previous Challenge post - Di and I have joined forces, and, from now on, we'll be playing tag, taking it in turns to host the fortnightly challenges here in the Snippets Playground.

I'll still be getting up to all sorts of mischief in the treehouse, or behind the back of the bike sheds. The change means that Di will be able to put her feet up and relax in one of the nice comfy chairs in the Treehouse, while sipping a "Sarn Special" Mojito! No doubt she'll be sporting a cocktail umbrella in her hair while Playground Pup, Dudley, will be curled around her feet, keeping a watchful eye on us all!

So then, for my first official piece of homework, I went to town and emptied out a small drawer of snippets to make as many cards as I could. See below:

If you want to see a bit more about how I made these cards, please feel free to drop by my blog

There are a couple of lovely Crafty Individuals stamp sets making up the prize for this fortnight's challenge, both kindly donated by Sandma. (Thanks Sandma!). Both sets make up one prize and won't be split.

Di and I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for all their support and congratulations on our new partnership. Let the mischief begin carry on!

Just before you run off to make a snippets card - you might want to skip over to fellow playmate Sue, of Zouave Cards. She is having a craft room clear-out and is giving away two lovely bundles of Little Claire stamps. If you live in the UK, all you have to do is leave a comment on her blog post here.

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 16th April. The gates will re-open at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.
