Challenge #462

Time for a new challenge and I'm already planning ahead for Christmas here. So my snippets card for today used up cream and red mirri card snippets:

All the details of how I made it are over on Pixie's HERE - as well as Dudley's latest escapade, sigh.

The prize for this fortnight is unashamedly Christmas themed and some of it is linked to the card above:

First of all, I just couldn't resist adding the adorable Woodware 'Bubble Robin Stack' stamp set plus the set of bigger 'bubble dies' to go with the robins. The dies are also great with tons of other Woodware 'Bubble' sets of stamps. I love mine and so perfect for using up snippets!

We recently had a very generous donation of goodies for the Toy Box from Pauline C - she sent the My Mind's Eye 'Winter Wonderland' set of stamps PLUS a Gemini 'Nordic Reindeer' 2 piece set of dies. As well as more goodies for a future time! Thank you so much Pauline - it's super-kind of you.

This might be an opportune time to let you know that we're always very happy to receive new and/or unused items that you might have bought but will actually never use! (We've all done it!)

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 16th September. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post. Please state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. Remember that we do reserve the right to delete non-compliant entries. It's very important to us to keep the Playground as a happy place to come and play - as well as making sure everyone plays nicely and fairly.

Winners outside the UK: please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Sarn and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Love and hugs from Di and Dudley,

  8. Gorgeous robin stamps and dies, and beautifully used on your festive make. The other prize bundle isn't three bad either ... I really enjoyed wandering round the CC shop picking out a few things to donate and reviewing my own stash for other suitable unused items ... I quite fancied that stag Chrimbo die myself!! Nonetheless having submitted my homework early for once, I will be playing for fun this time!! Good luck everyone xx

  17. Oh, my, how cute is that little stack of birdies??!! And it was a fun touch to add color just within the die cut circles! I'll be playing just for fun, unless you are splitting the two groups--I would like that stag die. But if not, I'll play for fun, 'cause this is my favorite challenge ever!!

    1. Hi Heather. Lovely to see you in the Playground! You guessed right that we don't split prizes. I used to do it ages ago and it was a logistical nightmare!

The only reason it looks like two groups is that I'm not as good as Sarn is at taking several items in the one photo. Height isn't on my side for a start!
