Results of Challenge #491

Hello Playmates - Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's challenge, to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge 491.

My three Top Picks are as follows:

After a lot of fiddly die cutting and glueing together, Val (Aquarius) entered a lovely jolly snowman card using up lots of snippets.

I love all the elements Brenda used in the design this lovely card. She even used up some snippets of torn Washi tape!

This festive beauty was brought along by Vicky - so pretty in pink and I love the way Vicky used a non-Christmas stencil to create snow layers. Very effective.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 16th November 2024 by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

Challenge #492

Welcome to a new challenge in the Snippets Playground. All the card details are over on Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE - as well as Dudley's latest 'Pupdate'.

These are the items making up the prize: Crafters Companion sets, one comprising four dies called 'Hellebores' and the other comprising two embossing folders called 'Bloom and Grow' - both kindly donated to the Playground Toy Box by Pauline C - many thanks Pauline! Plus, a Lawn Fawn 'stamp shammy' from me - I was buying myself a back-up one and thought it rude not to get one for the the Toy Box! Always handy to have IMHO, I keep mine in a small screw top plastic tub and it stays damp and sweet ready for use time and again - only needing a full dunking wash now and then!

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 9th November. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

Please be sure to state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw.

Remember that we reserve the right to delete non-compliant entries. It's very important to us to keep the Playground as a happy place to come and play - as well as making sure everyone plays fairly.

Winners outside the UK please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Sarn and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

If any of you are having trouble commenting, please see HERE for a possible solution.

Love and hugs from Di and Dudley,

Results of Challenge # 490

Hello folks - Di here, hopping in with the results from Challenge #490.

Here are my 3 top picks (in entry order):

I know, pink always sings to me, but this delightful card made by Valerija is much more than pink. It's a beautiful scene, made from snippets and really enchanting.

I totally adore this very (pink again!) retro-influenced card - brought to share by Kate.  It's a TH set of dies and like many of Tim's die sets, I can imagine it was a bit tricky, but they're always SO rewarding! Great result.

And last but not least, Kath nipped in to play, waving a delightful anniversary card - using snippets of one of our mutually favourite LOTV paper pads - such a lovely idea to inlay the die cut heart. Very elegant result!

As always, great inspiration from everyone who entered and it was difficult to whittle my 'working list' down to the final three. Thank you so much for playing along with us.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:

Please claim your prize by 11am UK time on 2nd November by sending your name and address details via email using the Snippets Playground email address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line.

I thought they would all mix and match nicely!

So, why not come and play? All you have to do is follow our RULES, then bring your homework to the Snippets Playground and enter using Mr Linky (below). Remember to say what snippets you used (or include a photo of them) and leave a comment advising whether you're just playing for fun or wish to be included in the draw for the prize. Any entrant not leaving a comment to the contrary is deemed to be playing for fun and will be excluded from the prize draw.

Here are my 3 top picks (in entry order):

Val skipped in as soon as the Playground gates opened waving this fabulous card. Card 'cover plate' dies are all the rage just now and great snippets busters - and Val made two cards by alternating the lovely patterned papers - clever girl!!

Lesley brought a really lovely Christmas card to share with us. I really love the funky colours with the sweet little die cuts - made to stand out in a crowd and so pretty with it!

And finally, Pat arrived and blew us away with this delightful card featuring an owl on an inset vellum panel of stamped Autumn leaves - absolutely beautiful work.

As always, great inspiration from everyone who entered. Thank you so much for playing along with us.

I

Welcome to a new challenge in the Snippets Playground. All the card details are over on Pixie's Crafty Workshop HERE - as well as Dudley's latest 'Pupdate'.

These are the items making up the prize: a nicely matched pairing donated by Pat, comprising an IO 'leopard' silhouette stamp and an Inkylicious stencil depicting the markings on said animal's coat. Also, a Memory Box die, loved ages ago by so many of us called 'Prim Poppy' (I found that in an online shop's closing down sale fairly recently). And finally, from our Lynn (Linby) we have a pretty Crafters Companion 7-piece stamp set called 'Best Wishes'. Many thanks to Pat and Lynn for their generosity!

Results of Challenge #486

Hello folks - Di here, hopping in with the results from Challenge #486.

Here are my 3 top picks (in entry order):

I totally love these cards, made by Helen. Brilliant use of variously coloured snippets - then embossing the whole panel. AND, making the dear little bears accessorise the background colours - very clever! As always. Helen draws backgrounds and images together so perfectly.

I am in awe of this colourful snippets card, made by Diane H. The die set is a Spellbinders one that is on my wish list and has been for a little while. The work that went into making this is incredible. Certainly would need a long lie down in a darkened room after making this beauty!

And, last but not least - Linda came to play with such a happy and fun card. A jar of honey no less - with flowers and the essential bee of course! Love the vibrant colours - a perfect Summer card.

Tricky once again whittling down the picks - you Playmates are so good at what you do! As always, great inspiration from everyone who entered. Thank you so much for playing along with us.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from HERE.

The randomly picked winner is:
