And here we go with a new Playground challenge, no theme other than you must use one or more snippets.
My snippets card for today uses the 'Eclipse' technique:
All the details of how I made it are over on Pixie's HERE - as well as Dudley's latest 'Pupdate'.
The prize for this fortnight is shown below:
Sorry the images are slightly out of focus. The items making up the prize bundle for this challenge were donated by Lynn B (Linby) and Pauline C. They are a layering stamp set called 'Sunflower Bouquet' plus a 'Fabulous Frame' stamp and die set, also a stamp and 'wing eddger' dies set called 'Monarch' - all by Crafters Companion. Also two single stamps in good time for Spring when it gets here, they are 'Sweet Spring' by Penny Johnson and 'Ella No. 3 by Stamposaurus. Thank you so much girls!
As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 3rd February. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.
Please state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw.
Remember that we do reserve the right to delete non-compliant entries. It's very important to us to keep the Playground as a happy place to come and play - as well as making sure everyone plays nicely and fairly.
Winners outside the UK please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Sarn and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".
Love and hugs from Di and Dudley,
Just handing in my homework for the current challenge - playing for fun. Sorry I forgot to take a pic of the snippets, must try harder 🙄

I love your pretty card Di and it looks like it took hours to put together. I'm playing just for fun this time, but what a wonderful prize package for some lucky winner. Good luck everyone!

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card! I think the added dimension looks fabulous! I would like to play for the prize this time, thank you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card Di, and that eclipse technique is an interesting one which I haven't got around to trying yet. What a wonderful lot of prizes donated by Lynne B and Pauline C and if I get a card in I will be playing just for fun as I have got such a lot to play with at the moment it would be most unfair for me to win as I know there are lots of others who will make much better use of them than me. x
ReplyDeleteWow love the card. Never hear of the eclips technique, im going to try this. The effect is so beautiful. And what a amazing price, so YES please.
ReplyDeleteHello and thank you for a new playground challenge! I use snippets for nearly every card and this one was no exception! Just linked it up! Your card is gorgeous, Di, and I will head over to your blog to see how you made it, not sure I've ever tried the eclipse technique. Oh, I love the prize, so I'm a YES, please! Best wishes to all! Thank you to Lynn B (Linby) and Pauline C for their generosity in providing the prize goodies!
ReplyDeletePlease and thank you. I have a stencil like your die. I wonder if I could use it over something I colored without messing it up. It looks kinda cool, like you're looking through blinds if that makes sense. I have so many snippets. I finally bought a nice balloon die that I can start using my smaller snippets on. Now, I'll be saving those and watching the pile get bigger and bigger and oh my gosh bigger.
ReplyDeleteHi Bunny, Yes, I did spot the stencil too and am sure you could achieve something similar with a play around. That's my challenge to you! By the way, Len immediately said that the card was like looking through venetian blinds too! Great minds think alike! x
DeleteMy homework for the challenge. Love to be in the draw. Yes please.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card Di and lovely colour for the flower. I am playing just for fun this time, thank you x
