Hello Playmates!
Time for more fun, games and summer cocktails in the Playground over the next fortnight.
Lots of you have been diligently helping me with my EXTRA homework - testing out quite a few cocktail recipes while sitting around the paddling pool. Miss Di has been head tester for the summertime Mai Tais which have been renamed Mai Dais in her honour!
The details of this card can be found on my personal blog HERE:
As promised, this challenge continues our Christmas in July theme, with a fabulous Christmas prize bundle to be won, as follows:
The following kind souls have donated prizes to this Christmas bundle:
- Creative Expressions Noel die from Jackie T;
- Blue Sizzix thinlits die and Two Red Robins Cardinal die from Brenda;
- Lili of the Valley Christmas garland stamp; Creative Expressions Poinsettia stamp and Little Claire 'Stocking Owls' stamp from Sue Morris.
All the pictured items make up a Christmas bundle for one lucky winner and won't be split.
PLAYGROUND COCKTAILS:
As mentioned above, I have it on good authority that a Mai Tai is one of Miss Di's favourite cocktails . . . and I've got a lovely one which I've renamed "Summery Mai Dai" (geddit?).
Summery Mai Dai Recipe: Pineapple juice; orange juice; dark rum; Amaretto and plenty of crushed ice to keep you cool in a heatwave.For a Virgin version: substitute the dark rum and Amaretto for almond syrup, Grenadine and sparkling water.
Mouthwatering eh? Anyone wishing to enjoy a good cocktail is welcome at the Playground Treehouse Bar, or down by the paddling pool which we put at the foot of the slide . . . so come and order one, then hold on to your cocktail while you whizz down the slide and into the paddling pool while not spilling a drop! Please form an orderly queue!
Remember there is a CHRISTMAS THEME to this snippets challenge which will run for two weeks. The Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 6th August 2022. The gates will reopen at midnight (UK time) on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

Another amazing bunch of fabulous items for prize, wow, how generous!! I will enter tomorrow and already say yes please, even if I already won a challenge very recently and don't think to be so lucky to win again! :D
Hugs

Wonderful Christmas card. Yes for the amazing prize, please.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Valerija
Ooh, that sounds delicious!! A definite yes for that prize bundle, should I be lucky enough :0)
ReplyDeleteLovely to use some snippets again and be able to visit the Playground. Perhaps the heady aroma of booze drew me across the Big Pond to a blanket by the Paddling Pond! What fun, ladies! Great to see everyone again and collect cool cocktail recipes! Hic! Playing just for fun. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteYes please to the prize, and yes please to that yummy Mai Tai. I don't usually drink alcohol but when I do, it's a sweet tropical drink. The photo alone is making me feel like I'm on vacation!
ReplyDeleteWell it is quite a while since I visited the Playground. It has been too hot here for swings and slides, but one of my sons is over for a visit and we made big jugs of sangria - almost a cocktail. That is a lovely, generous prize but I only visit for fun. (Brexit has made import charges just too high to warrant receiving anything from UK now).
ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty! And the Mai Tai....way way TOO good!! We've been having a heat wave here in Central Canada, too, and this little drinky poo certainly hit the spot (a few times!) I'd love to be in on the draw for the amazing prize :)
ReplyDeleteAgain, I must say what an honor it is to have been an inspiration for the card you created! I'm grinning from ear to ear while sipping a great summer cooling cocktail and dangling my feet in the pool ....ahhhhh :) Yes please for me this time around for this wonderful prize!
ReplyDeletePopped in with my card and to sip a cocktail - yes please for my name to go into the draw, thanks.
ReplyDeleteEntered my snippets homework :)
ReplyDeleteYes, please to be in the draw
Hugs
Very cool and refreshing card, Sarn. Lots of traditional elements with a modern look. Yes please on the draw, in the meantime I'll be dangling my feet in the pool.
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness.....I LOVE your card, Di. I am totally taken by the way you used that large snowflake in the background and the lovely trees in the foreground and the beautiful font of that sentiment. Your card is PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this spectacular prize bundle!!! WOW. YES,PLEASE to being in the draw. I adore that cardinal die set. Oh, how I wish we had those in my part of Idaho. A huge THANK YOU to Jackie, Brenda, and Sue for donating such amazing prizes!! How generous of you, Ladies. <3
