Challenge #453

Hello Playmates!

Welcome to the start of another fun fortnight at the Snippets Playground.

Here's my homework, the details of which can be found on my personal blog HERE:

The prize at the end of this fortnight is a wooden block stamp set by Stampin' Up! called Botanicals for You, as well as a beautiful floral die set by Sizzix - both from the Toy Box.

So now it's your turn to do some homework! All you have to do is find some snippets to play with (I KNOW you have some), then use Mr Linky (below) to submit for marking!

Please remember to SAY WHAT SNIPPETS YOU USED (or include a photo of them) and leave a comment making it clear whether you're just playing for fun or wish to be included in the prize draw.

The Playground gates will clang shut on this challenge at 11am (UK time) on Saturday, 13th May 2023. They'll reopen at midnight (UK time) the same day for the start of the next challenge. Winners outside the UK: Please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although Di and I always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Results of Challenge #451

Hello Playmates - Sarn here - popping back in the middle of Di's challenge, to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge #451.

Here are my top picks (in entry order):

Aquarius (Val) made this lovely Easter card with a fab bunny die that has proved very popular this Spring/Easter. I love the stencilled background and the use of tiny snippets for the scene too.

Liz made this well-designed card using up small snippet strips and the addition of her "trademark" sunflowers. A lovely card full of sunshine.

My final choice is by Lesley G, who made this gorgeous floral card (and a few others if you look at her blog).

Well done to EVERYONE who played along - you've no idea how difficult it is to pick just 3!

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from the 'Badges' page HERE

And now for the winner of Challenge #451 . . . it's No. 13 . . . NOT unlucky in this case!

JO

Congratulations Jo. Please claim your prize by sending me an email using the Snippets Playground address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line. Please ensure you add your full name and address so that it can be copied and pasted for speed and ease.

Remember there's still nearly a week of Di's challenge to go. If you haven't submitted a piece of homework yet, just scroll down to the previous post to find all the details.

Challenge #452

A new challenge and here's my snippets card:

It's the last of the bunny - for now as he's having a little rest after all the posing! All the details, with Dudley's latest news, are over on Pixies - HERE.

The prize for this fortnight is:

It's a Cuttlebug embossing folder - the pattern is small daisies. Plus two sets of dies from The Works. One is two dies to cut pretty designs into the corner of your project and the other one is a set of five pennants with double stitching lines along the top.

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 29th April. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

Please state what snippets you used on your entry, and/or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw. Remember that we do reserve the right to delete non-compliant entries. It's very important to us to keep the Playground as a happy place to come and play - as well as making sure everyone plays nicely and fairly.

Sarn's game of 'tag you're it' during our previous challenge was fun to watch, Dudley was exhausted as, 'of course' he had to join in. I wonder what she's cooking up next?!

Winners outside the UK: please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although we both always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Love and hugs from Di and Dudley,

Results of Challenge #450

Let's plunge  straight into the three top picks for Challenge #450, in numerical order:

What a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, created by Lynne R! Wonderful use of plenty of little snippets, gorgeous colouring and a perfect result!

Love, love this adorable Easter card - made by Alice. Such a lovely design, fresh Spring colours - and also the image is currently a freebie over at Gerda Stein. Alice has a link on her blog post if you want to download it!

I adore the simplicity of the Easter cards that 'Papierelle' brought to share with us. When you look closely, there's actually a lot of work colouring the pussy willow branches. The sweet little tails swung it for me - how clever to use real little pussy willow fluffy buds!

It's totally coincidental that the picks this week are flowers or Easter - just the way it turned out. Every single entry was great and, as I always say, it's a tough job picking just three to showcase.

The randomly drawn winner of a set of Pretty Pink Posh sentiments and the Woodware 'Van Cat' set of stamps is:

And once again, one of our picks popped out as the prize winner! Incredible - well done Alice, it's been a while since you were a winner so it's all the sweeter we hope!

To claim your prize, please send an email using the Snippets Playground email address shown on the RH sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER (or similar) in the subject line. Please add your FULL NAME above your home ADDRESS so that I can copy and paste it for speed and ease.

The current snippets challenge is being hosted by Sarn and still has almost a further week to run - just scroll down to the previous post to find it. There's a nice prize to be won as well!

I have yet another Easter appearance by 'that Bunny' over on my own blog - HERE.

Results of Challenge #449

Hello Playmates, I'm popping back in the middle of Di's challenge, to share my Top Picks and the prize winner for Challenge 449.

Here are my top picks (in entry order):

I adore this brilliant masculine card (below) by Sandra H. It's a great layout and has plenty of dimension - and a super guitar charm too!

Just look at all these brilliant vintage tickets and stamps made by Granne (below). Great for anyone making junk journals or vintage ATCs.

This beautiful card full of green and gold dragonflies (below) is a stunner. Made by the talented Bonnie. The leafy embossing makes a perfect background.

If you've been showcased, please feel free to collect your 'Top Pick' badge from the 'Badges' page HERE.

The lucky winner of the two die sets is No 30:

KATE L

Congratulations Kate. Please claim your prize by sending an email using the Snippets Playground address shown in the sidebar, with PLAYGROUND WINNER in the subject line. Please ensure you add your full name and address so that it can be copied and pasted for speed and ease.

Challenge #450

A new challenge and here's my snippets card:

Sorry, it's Christmas once again, all the details, with Dudley's latest news, are over on Pixies - HERE.

The prize for this fortnight is:

We had some lovely dies available in Sarn's last challenge and so it's perhaps time again for some stamps - both sets are from the Snippets Toy Box. It's a set of Pretty Pink Posh sentiments called 'Crafty Sentiments' and a Woodware set of stamps called 'Van Cat' - the sentiment reads 'Keep Calm and paint'. I just KNOW there will be a 'stampede' for the crafty sentiments stamp set - it's super! And 'Van Cat' is a pretty cool guy as well!

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 1st April. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

Please remember to either state what snippets you used on your entry, or add a photo of them, otherwise it won't count in the prize draw.

Winners outside the UK: please remember that you may be charged fees and import duty on your prize - although we both always send them out clearly marked as "gifts".

Love and hugs from Di and Dudley,

Results of Challenge #448

Right folks, let's get straight onto the three top picks for Challenge #448, in numerical order:

I picked this card, made by Granne, as it's a very clever, pretty simple (if you are artistic with layouts and colours) way to create a super and very effective card - using either circular punches or dies. Love it and a great way to use up snippets of course!

Really lovely Christmas card from Lesley - using lots of snippets too. I do love that Lesley even created stencils using the snowflake dies - and those mittens - SO cute! Sweet colours as well, HOW can Lesley always make it look so effortless?

Oh WOW - what a card! Susan S really came up trumps with this totally fabulous 'crammed full of candles' card! It is SO gorgeous - all 65 of them - great work Susan! That is taking snippets well above the bar - and also your patience I suspect.

We had so many fabulous entries once again - it certainly gets much harder to choose as the challenges go on. You are all so talented and we do love to see your entries - sharing how snippets can be used very effectively.

The randomly drawn winner of a 'dandelion clock' embossing folder, also stamps by Whimsy and Your Next Stamps is:

Straight out of the 'trap' like a greyhound - Susan's name popped right out as wanting to be in the prize draw - and so thanks to Mr Random - she won! A 'pick' as well as the winner of Challenge #448's prize in the draw! How cool - a double whammy!
