We've had a good deal of sunshine this week, down in the Southern part of England. However, many parts further North and in Scotland, as well as potentially Ireland, have suffered badly from two storms, one after the other. And so it seems in other countries too. Mother Nature can have such a vicious temper!
Straight onto my sample snippets card:
All the 'how I made it' details are over on my own Pixie's blog, HERE.
NB - I've moved all the details of how I made my snippets cards away from the new Snippets Playground as not all of you might be interested in the 'how' part, I wouldn't really be able to join in any challenges from here and some people only visit my Pixie's blog - so it wasn't really working very well as it was. We live and learn.
And here's the prize for this fortnight:
Although, as I've previously said, I won't always make a 'sample' card - I do still still have a handful of duplicates here to use. So, the prize is a Uniko 'Floral Vines' set of stamps and a Clearly Besotted 'Frame It Die Collection' - exactly the same as I used for my sample card above.
I think the Uniko floral stamp used alone would also be good for making Christmas cards just by using a stamp from one of your own sets, Christmas colours/gold/silver and possibly, not making it a 'double' - which would be super fast to do! You could whip up a batch in no time.
As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 19th February. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.
A plea to three Grand Draw prize winners (Sandy, Lia, and Valerija) - please do drop a quick email to the Snippets email address when your prize arrives, so that I can 'tick you off my list' and feel that the draw is finally completed!
Love and hugs from Dudley and Di, xx
Me and the meercats have been waiting at the playground gates. It was getting a bit chilly cos we forgot the hats. I woz on the wrong timezone and the babies was getting a bit fretful, but it's all good and we are on our way to the tree house for tea and crumpets. Thanks for this lovely meercat die I won in the xmas draw. It was a snipets fest LOL. Your card is beautiful and that frame die is awesome. Yes please to be in the draw. HUGZ
ReplyDeleteI think you and naughty SaRn would get on like a house on fire! Lovely to see you using the meercats already Gail - such sweet makes!
DeleteHugs
Di xx
Thanks Di. They are really fun to make with. Hugz
DeleteLovely card Di and another great prize, but I will say no as I have the stamps thanks. I am off to the treehouse, crumpets for breakfast yummy! Xxx
ReplyDeleteA great card and really like the look of those frame dies as well as the delicate floral stamp. Wet and windy here this morning after a nice sunny day yesterday - such changeable weather
ReplyDeleteThat’s a lovely card and a fab prize but I’ll be playing just for fun when I hand in my homework!
ReplyDeleteRight now I’m busy making tea, coffee and toasted crumpets for the early bird brekkie club up in the Treehouse!!!!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Yummy. Sorry about all the crumbs. Baby meercats are a bit messy but I am sure Dudley will be in sniffing around for crumbs soon. Hugz
DeleteA fabulous snippets card Di and I would love a chance of winning the prize, please.
ReplyDeleteWe've got a wild, windy day here at the moment and it looks like rain is on the way. The perfect day for staying tucked up indoors. Dudley sounds a cutie - I bet he still keeps you both on your toes!
Kath x
Beautiful card Di, I love the design. I’d love to win the prize, so I’ll be a Yes Please.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a pretty blustery day here again today. We’re out for Sunday lunch soon, so I’m preparing to get windswept! xx
Your card Di is gorgeous l love the framed idea and the floral stamp so beautifully coloured again l am just playing for fun good luck all this is another fabulous win xx
ReplyDeleteYes please to the prize. Beautiful card. I love the frame die. I don't think I've ever seen it before but it's on my list of wishes now.
ReplyDeleteHello Di, Yes the weather is awful here too but we are very lucky compared to some, so I won't moan too much. I'm pleased to be joining you with a card that I've made using one of the stamps that I won in your grand draw, thank you. Hope you have a very happy and colourful week x (Just playing for fun)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Di, yes please to be in the draw - I've never seen those frame dies before and they look fab!
ReplyDeleteGood boy Dudley, isn't that funny how not saying the trigger word totally changed his behaviour. Miss Molly has started barking at random things on the TV for who knows what reason! She was fine watching David Attenborough last week, and this week every single animal or insect sparked the barking!
Beautiful card, Di! Love those frame making dies, so I'm a "yes please" for the draw. The weather has been absolutely dreadful here, one of the worst blizzards I've seen, and definitely the worst I've ever driven in blew through last week, but made it home safe and sound. 2 days later, though, in clear weather, I wasn't so lucky, as I hit an invisible patch of ice, and cracked up my car :( Certainly a challenge getting back behind the wheel, but crafting gets my mind on other things, and life goes on!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I LOVE the framing!!! Good boy Dudley!
ReplyDeleteI will be playing for fun this week!
I love both the stamp and the frame dies... so yes, please! And so fun to hear that your little pup is growing up! He is such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteLoving the look of the frame dies so it's a YES PLEASE from me this time. Good luck everyone!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen making a frame like this before, so I say YES to the prize.
ReplyDeleteYour card is a great example!
Lia xx
Oh, Di, I love the 'double' you did with the stamp. How clever to space the middle so perfectly for the sentiment! After seeing your card, I definitely want those framing dies so I'm putting my name in the hat for the prize. :-D
ReplyDeleteP.S. I miss having the "how to" in your post here but do appreciate that at least you've given us a link to your personal blog so that we can go and read it over there.
Hi Connie! I'm thrilled with your lovely comments about the card - and those frame dies truly are brilliant to finish off a card nicely. Either CAS or much more detailed - they work really well. I do understand that it's less easy to have to pop over to Pixie's to see the 'how-to' on my snippets makes. But, there are several reasons why I've made that change. First of all I suddenly realised that my personal blog was being 'sacrificed' with me just adding Playground links a lot of the time. Next, Pixie's has always been a sort of diary for me .......... and also I couldn't join in challenges from the Playground blog. Also I want to keep the new Playground as streamlined as possible. If we have Guest Designers then we always go to their blogs for more details - in fact I've always strongly encouraged that, absolutely to spread the love even further. Sorry this is long winded but it's also an explanation if anyone else wonders why they need to hop over to my own blog, or indeed the blogs of other contributors.
DeleteWith love
Di xxx
Yes please to the prize. It's been a while since I've entered so it is fun to see this "new" challenge taking off. Using snippets is fun and necessary! ;-}
ReplyDeleteEntering my Christmas tag here for the chance to win the awesome prize pack. Yes please to the draw.
ReplyDeleteHi Di, I love your new blog look! Just playing for fun.
ReplyDeleteLove your sample, how feminine and elegant!! Love that Uniko stamps and the die set is just perfect to use up a lot of stripes of paper!!! So, please, yes for entering in the draw!
ReplyDeleteIt's very interesting know about Dudley and his "trigger words" :D How clever doggie!
Make some cuddles to him from me!
Hugs
Hello, Di, and thank you for another Snippets challenge and beautiful inspiration card! I love how you stamped the floral image twice to create a frame for the sentiment! I am definitely a YES for this one! I will be back soon to join in the fun! OMGoodness, I do enjoy reading about Dudley and his funny antics! You describe his actions so well that I can picture him in my mind! He is such a joy!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card you made using the Uniko stamps and a great idea to flip it and leave the gap in the middle to put the sentiment. I also really love the stitched frame made with the facility to make a square or rectangular card, and it looks so elegant Di...I am a 'yes please' if I get a card in. Dudley is getting to be a real grown up now although I know he is still full of fun and mischief at times, but such a cutey. x
ReplyDeleteUniko is my fave brand! Your card is sooooo beautiful. Love the placements of dies to make it square:)
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this great prize, so YES!
What a beautiful card with those stamped flowers and sentiment placed in the middle! I love the frame with those mitre joints! Thanks for another snippet challenge and I'll say yes please to the prize this time!
ReplyDeleteOh Yes please Di! Love your card.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card, Di! I enjoyed reading about it over ta-other blog. And reading about Dudley, of course! Know what you mean about learning new things all the time - and all the time wondering what goes on in that clever little head. I dare say Nellie wonders the same about me!🙃 I'm just pulling a coffee cake out of the oven for any of the ladies still about. I thought it would be a good choice for any time of day. Now where did I put my Bailey's to nip in the coffee pot? Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteMmm yummy. Thanks Darnell - just in time for homework club!!!! X
DeleteHello again! I just linked up my card and I used lots of snippets! Thank you for inspiring! I'm always on the lookout for ways to use my scraps! Have a wonderful day! Please give Dudley a good cuddle from me!
ReplyDeleteYes please. Just got mine done and linked up
ReplyDeleteYes Please to this pretty stamp set and the frame dies. That stamped image is so unique and beautifully done on your card. The mirror image is a clever way to give this floral stamp a whole new look. I thought I'd left a comment a week ago but as I'm not seeing it, I'll leave one now. My mind has only been operating at about half speed lately, so who knows?!
ReplyDeleteLove the card! The dies and stamps looking so good.
ReplyDeleteSo yes please to the draw.
Thank Di for your message on my card, I adjust the post. Hope it’s now correct. I post the snippets I used at used materials.
DeleteSuch a pretty card - love how you've used the floral stamp twice. Count me in for the draw please. I've just added my card.
ReplyDeleteSounds to me like Dudley has trained you well, and his master plan to take over the house is coming along nicely :-) We have just let Buster, our border terrier, the run of the downstairs when we go out. So far so good!!
Hi Sue, I already commented your lovely card on your own blog earlier this week so here I am just confirming that is a YES please from me for the prize. This time there was no card from me for the challenge but I am participating with some "ready-for-action" snippets backgrounds on card bases that I created.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Eemeli
Lovely card and what a great border. Yes please to the prize. I'm glad you are finding time to make some cards. I hope Dudley is still enjoying the sunshine. It's beautiful here today but chilly. x
ReplyDeletePretty card Di ad and 'Yes please' for the prize this time xx
ReplyDeleteLovely card using the prize (yes, please!!). I just adore the framing and think it's so pretty. Different from a rectangle/square frame die. And the stamp set is so lovely, too. Love Uniko! Are you playing in Bev's celebration all month?
ReplyDeleteNo Becca. I only just found out about Bev's celebration. X
DeleteThis is my first time of joining the Snippets Playground although I'm sure it won't be my last - I have a mountain of snippets to get through :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a YES PLEASE for a chance at the lovely prize and looking forward to seeing all the beautiful creations here.
Lorraine
Your card is so pretty!! And I love the fabulous frame dies!! I know I don't usually play for the prize, but I am going to say "Yes, Please!" for this one, thank you!
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty card! The frame really sets off the image, and the flowers are lovely!
ReplyDeleteYes, please to this wonderful prize!
Yes, please. Thank you, Di.
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Di, I'm glad to hear someone has nice weather, I'm already back in winter gear. I'm playing just for fun with my six snippets makes. Have a wonderful week... Megan
ReplyDeleteMorning playmates, just added my entry and would like to say a resounding YES PLEASE to an entry in the draw this time around - fab prize and fab make with it too
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday
Kathyk
Have enjoyed reading about how you made this card on your personal blog Di and catching up with other news too! I've just handed in my homework (bit late but Eva didn't want to leave her bone!) Just nipping up the treehouse for some cake and crumpets if there are any left over... I have a flask of hot chocolate and some marsh mellows if anyone wants to share, and WHAT was Darnell saying about a nip of baileys?!! Hugs, Vicky xx
ReplyDeleteMmm, I'll share your flask contents and give you some of my dark chocolate in fair exchange! x
DeleteGorgeous card Di - so elegant!
ReplyDeleteI'm a 'yes please' for the prize draw.
Helen x
Love the card and the floral stamp Di, but as I already have the frames I will be playing just for fun this time x
ReplyDeleteI'm just play for fun today, but since this is a totally snippets card, I wanted to get it on the record.
ReplyDeleteSo funny about "the trigger word" on deliveries. Aren't animals amazing?
Heard there's a bad storm in Britain, so I hope everyone is safe.
I really love your card, Di! I have the Uniko stamp set, but since I could give it to a friend I'm going to say yes to the prize! I'd love to have those framing dies! That's great Dudley is fine just watching from a distance. Fritz would have none of it! Anyone near our house gets barked at! Have to amend a previous comment where I said Fritz just waits to be rescued when he's accidently closed in a spare room. Last night it happened again, but within a couple minutes he was barking! Actually, that's good since I don't want him in that room without me! 8 yrs old, but not to be trusted when there's something he's not used to seeing that could be chewed!
ReplyDeletePrachtige kaart heb je gemaakt.
ReplyDeleteLeuke mallen en stempel heb je gebruikt.
De schattige honden hebben het helemaal naar zijn zin.
Ik zeg ja tegen de Prachtige prijs.
Fijn weekend.
Groetjes Elle-jeanne
A great card with those frame dies and beautiful floral stamp; I like Uniko.
ReplyDeleteyes, also here wet and windy after nice sunny weather lately.
yes for the prize, please and have a great weekend.
Pretty card, and definitely a pretty way to frame your sentiment!
ReplyDeleteWhile you believe you're still learning from Dudley, he's believing that you're still learning too, especially when it comes to the puppy/baby gate!
