Challenge #425

Hello Snippets Playmates - Sarn here!

I've polished my Prefect's Badge and put my shoes on the correct feet for a change! Even managed to tie-up my own shoe laces (I'm coming along in leaps and bounds!).

As mentioned in the previous Challenge post - Di and I have joined forces, and, from now on, we'll be playing tag, taking it in turns to host the fortnightly challenges here in the Snippets Playground.

I'll still be getting up to all sorts of mischief in the treehouse, or behind the back of the bike sheds. The change means that Di will be able to put her feet up and relax in one of the nice comfy chairs in the Treehouse, while sipping a "Sarn Special" Mojito! No doubt she'll be sporting a cocktail umbrella in her hair while Playground Pup, Dudley, will be curled around her feet, keeping a watchful eye on us all!

So then, for my first official piece of homework, I went to town and emptied out a small drawer of snippets to make as many cards as I could. See below:

If you want to see a bit more about how I made these cards, please feel free to drop by my blog

There are a couple of lovely Crafty Individuals stamp sets making up the prize for this fortnight's challenge, both kindly donated by Sandma. (Thanks Sandma!). Both sets make up one prize and won't be split.

Di and I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for all their support and congratulations on our new partnership. Let the mischief begin carry on!

Just before you run off to make a snippets card - you might want to skip over to fellow playmate Sue, of Zouave Cards. She is having a craft room clear-out and is giving away two lovely bundles of Little Claire stamps. If you live in the UK, all you have to do is leave a comment on her blog post here.

As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday, 16th April. The gates will re-open at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.

  15. Hi Sarn,
What a wonderful idea for your both to take it in turns to hold this challenge it gives Miss Di a well earned rest.
Now I havn't been entering lately as I was a very bad blogger and only doing my DT work but I promised myself to do more this year.
I just find it hard to juggle everything myself now I am on my own.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  19. Yes please to this beautiful stamp prize, and thank you to Sandma for donating it.
Seeing your set of cards, all made from snippets, inspired me to run up to my craft room and make several of my own from the random bits and pieces that always seem to gather in and around my craft desk.I really like that one down on the bottom, with the envelope edge design and will have to keep that in mind for the future.
Still not sure whether you will be able to whip us into shape, or whether we will all be running amok, but fun is in the air!

I was lucky enough to win a prize in the Playground recently, so as much as I love the stamps, please leave me out of the draw this time. xx

  28. Helloo Sarn! Didn't recognise you with your feet pointing outwards! And I FINK the key to successful shoe laces is not to tie them together... that's what I've found anyhow :/ What a wonderful array of samples you made! I am here to submit my homework and am nipping up to the treehouse to give Dudley a cuddle and to see if I can sneak a sip of Miss Di's Mojito! What an amazing prize donated by the generous Sandma! Yes please, I would love to be entered in the draw. Hugs, Vicky xxx

  38. Welcome to you as official Co-Admin for the Playground, Sarn! I would only say this to you, but well done getting inside so we can get up to all kinds of foolishness on the QT!! Ssshhh. Di won't see this, I hope! But, seriously, thank you for all you are doing to keep the challenge running and a special thank you for putting my "just straight up wodka on the rocks with a twist" on your cocktail menu! I'll be over after the swelling in my face subsides, unless you are putting on a play this week that requires ducks, quack quack! Hugs, Darnell
