Well, we had a bit of a mixed bag of weather for the May Day Celebrations - I almost dread to think what Sarn will dream up for our Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Which reminds me, must order some bunting and other bits and pieces as, no doubt, things will get to fever pitch very shortly.
Ha, my challenge to Sarn is a red, white and blue cocktail for the Playground celebrations! I'll make the Coronation Chicken sandwiches - and Dudley can be Chief Taster!
Straight onto my snippets card:
The prize for this fortnight is several stamps/stamp sets:
As always, the Snippets Challenge will run for two weeks and the Playground gates will close at 11am UK time on Saturday 28th May. The gates will open again at midnight UK time on the same day. Mr Linky is below this post.
The latest news of Dudley is also over on my own Pixie's blog post for today - HERE. He's getting too clever for his own good!Love and hugs from Dudley and Di, xx
I'm sure that bad weather won't slow Sarn down one bit when it comes to the Jubilee celebration! Just make sure you buy the kind of bunting that is waterproof, or you may have colors running everywhere! Playing just for fun this time, although those stamp sets are just adorable! Your decoupaged card is so elegant and beautiful and the gems add such a nice touch. I've never done much decoupage because I'm not patient enough with all that gluing and layering, but the results are spectacular.ReplyDelete
Been fiddling with some tiny snippets again - keeps me out of mischief!! Lovely stamps but I'm just playing for fun this time. Love your decoupage card.ReplyDelete
Amazing decoupage card. I love it! I would love to be in the draw for these wonderful stamps.ReplyDelete
Have a nice day.
That is one gorgeous card Di! It must have taken a long time to create but when you read the post on my snippets card, I'm sure you'll agree I have the record for time spent making a card LOL Playing just for fun this time, but those are some adorable stamps!ReplyDelete
What a gorgeous card Di!!! Weather has been crazy here 40s one week, 90s the next! Darling stamps but I will be playing for fun this week!ReplyDelete
LOVE this card - such a pretty floral image.ReplyDelete
Will have to get my thinking cap on for a patriotic cocktail!
Mmmm - LOVE Coronation Chicken sarnies(!).
Great prize for this fortnight's challenge . . . GOOD LUCK everyone! xxx
Sarn, I need help for my mental state! A long string of Jubilee bunting and also a packet of Union Flag strips to glue or staple together to make paper chains has already arrived. Hope it doesn't rain on the day - perhaps keep those for decorating the tree house indoors? Also 10 small Jubilee flags are due to arrive within the next week. Only bought 10 so we'll all have to share. xDelete
Such amazing card for sample!! Thanks to Sue for the prizes, I'm just in love with the last with the circle sentiments!ReplyDelete
I surely will enter a card later, so I say yes please for entering in the draw.
I'm sure Sarn will make sure the Jubilee Celebrations will go with a bang! Please save me some Coronation Chicken sandwiches..... my absolute favourite! I think I'll have a go at making the new Platinum Jubilee dessert... it sounds delicious.ReplyDelete
Your card is wonderful Di, great design. As much as I love Little Claire stamps, I was lucky enough to win some over on Sue's blog recently, so I just play for fun this time. xx

What a gorgeous card Di! I love that texture and shimmer on the honeysuckle. Not sure you should have put the idea of red white and blue cocktails into Sarn's head but it would be rude not to sample them! That's an amazing prize generously donated by Sue, but I'm just here for fun this week :) Hugs, Vicky xxReplyDelete

Sorry I missed the last challenge - maybe I missed two? What a hectic month this has been! I haven't been crafting much or blogging. I hope things settle down soon as I miss my crafts! In any event, I just linked up my snippets card and feel very happy to have made it! Your snippets card is gorgeous! I love the stitched rectangle and the texture on your image looks amazing! I also love the wonderful prize (thank you to Sue for her generosity!) and I would be thrilled to win - I say YES, please!ReplyDelete

Sarn, I had a beautiful red, white and blue cocktail that I made for July 4th in 2019. I am still searching for the photo and recipe. I know it had Blue Curacao on the bottom but I can't remember what the other layers were. I'll keep looking. In the meantime, I hope you and Di like my very little snippet of golf balls on my card! Enjoy your weekend.ReplyDelete
Ooh thanks Karen. That would be ACE! xDelete
